The Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 Filter, UKF8001AXX replaces the popular Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001AXX Filter and is used in refrigerators made by Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Kenmore. The Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 Filter meets NSF / ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine taste and odor and Particulates Class I (sand, silt, dirt, rust).
The UKF8001 Filter also meets NSF / ANSI Standard 53 for the reduction of the following contaminants:

The UKF8001AXX PuriClean Maytag refrigerator water filter does not remove beneficial fluoride. The UKF8001AXX PuriClean Maytag refrigerator water filter is the correct filter for model MFI2568AES and many other models.
*Maytag recently replaced the Puriclean II UKF8001AXX with the Maytag PUR UKF8001, but this is the genuine Maytag filter that replaces the Puriclean II filters. Some of the UKF8001 filters may not have any writing on the filters themselves, as Maytag has taken extra efforts to showcase the new and old part numbers on the filter's box and label.
